About Me

Roshan KulkarniRoshan is a technology enthusiast and a software consultant with a masters degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). He has played leadership roles with several product companies in the past.

Roshan has a track record of delivering cost-effective engineering solutions for technology startups. He has helped them incubate ideas, raise funding and drive viral growth for the products. He has also been instrumental in building and nurturing strong engineering teams based in India.

Over the past several years, he has experienced the entire spectrum of startup lifecycles: boot-up, growth, venture funding and, at times, the failures.

Roshan’s interests are in large-scale software architectures, agile software processes and rich web & mobile apps. In recent times, his work has been in the areas of social web media and cloud computing platforms. He enjoys the process of nurtuing a nascent idea and see it grow into a solid product – the pains and the thrills which are part of this process.

When not at work, Roshan is busy scavenging bookstores or surfing Wikipedia. He aspires to go bungee jumping one day to get over his acrophobia. He likes to do his bit for the environment – which made him cycle to work a few years ago and take stairs down the six floors of his apartment.

Roshan often gets a kick working 14 hours a day and savours several cups of green tea. It is hard for most people to compete with him on the number of cups consumed in a day. He likes to be paranoid about staying fit, but rarely gets himself to a work-out regime. Roshan enjoys Seinfeld, Sci-fi movies and Old Monk, usually going together. A mundane and a slightly dated version of his resume can be accessed here.
